Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, 2401 Chautauqua Ave. on the University of Oklahoma campus, offers a look back 300 million years at the state's natural history. Visitors can walk through realistic dioramas that depict Oklahoma's natural landscapes, as well as view dinosaur skeletons, including the world's largest Apatosaurus and a 10.5-foot-tall Pentaceratops skull. Also displayed are artifacts from native Oklahomans and exhibits about modern-day activities of the western tribes.

A Discovery Room engages young visitors with hands-on science activities.

Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
