Tulsa Garden Center, 1.5 mi. s. of SR 51 at 2435 S. Peoria Ave. in Woodward Park, is the former 1919 home of wealthy oilman David Travis. Included on the grounds are the Linnaeus Teaching Garden, a demonstration space for home gardeners; the Tulsa Rose Garden, created by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) 1934-35, with nearly 250 varieties of roses on five terraced levels enhanced by stone walls and fountains; and the 3-acre Tulsa Arboretum.

Docent-led tours of the Linnaeus Teaching Garden are offered.
