Frank Phillips Home is at 1107 S.E. Cherokee Ave. The neoclassic mansion is the restored home of Frank Phillips, founder of Phillips Petroleum Co. Built 1908-09, the three-level house is noted for its collection of decorative arts. It is furnished with the family's original belongings, which have been placed in the home according to 1930 photographs; highlights include Philippine mahogany, handcrafted ceilings and Waterford crystal chandeliers. A permanent exhibit—Frank and Jane Phillips, Oklahoma Oil Pioneers—is in the garage. The Director's Tour provides a behind-the-scenes look at the house, including the basement and garden cottage. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Home Tour $5; $2 (ages 4-11). Director's Tour $10; $7 (ages 4-11). Reservations are recommended.
Hours: Home tours are given on the hour Wed.-Fri. 10-11 and 2-4, Sat. 10-11 and 1-4. Director's Tour Wed.-Fri. at 9. Visitors should arrive 10 minutes prior to tour departure time. Closed major holidays.
