Canadian County Historical Museum, 300 S. Grand, is housed in the 1906 Rock Island Depot and features Native American objects, vintage clothing, toys and model trains as well as the depot's original ticket office, a doctor's office and an old fashioned kitchen.
Relocated historic buildings on the museum grounds include a red barn featuring an old fire engine, a buggy, a Civil War-era bar, a Victorian dress shop and a blacksmith shop. Also featured is the Possum Holler schoolhouse, an 1892 hotel, a 1918 Red Cross canteen, a 19th-century jail, a Mennonite church and a restored caboose. Trolley rides are offered.
