Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center, 507 S. 4th St., exhibits 1893 Cherokee Strip Land Run and pioneer artifacts depicting the settlement of the area from 1893 to the present. On the museum grounds is the Humphrey Heritage Village, a living history area which includes four historic buildings: a one-room schoolhouse, a church, a Victorian house and the original Enid land office. The 24,000-square-foot facility features five galleries that chronicle the history and the development of the Cherokee Strip Outlet. Temporary exhibits also are offered. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$6; $4 (ages 65+ and students ages 6-18 with ID); $15 (family, four people); free (active military and veterans with ID).
