The Midgley Museum is 1 blk. s. of jct. US 412 and US 81 at 1001 Sequoyah Dr. The museum is in a 1947 house constructed with more than 30 kinds of rock excavated by Dan and Libbie Midgley. Displays include family artifacts of these prosperous farmers who were among the state's earliest landowners.

Antique dishes, furniture and farm tools; a fireplace made of petrified wood and fossil stones; a trophy room with hunted animals; and a fluorescent rock collection are shown.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
