Alabaster Caverns State Park is 6 mi. s. on SR 50, then .5 mi. e. to 217036 SR 50A. The 200-acre park surrounds a large gypsum cave, which can be seen on a .75-mile guided tour. The cave contains selenite and alabaster formations. Various species of bats are found within the caverns. The park also has nature trails, camping, a horseshoe pit and a volleyball court.
A light jacket and comfortable shoes are recommended for cave tours.
Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
