Will not stay at LaQuinta...
Pros: Bed was comfortable. AC/Heating worked fine; also TV. Great to have free WiFi!
Cons: Booked reservations online and specified I wanted a non-smoking room with two queen size beds; received confirmation re: my request. When I checked in and got to my room, it was a smoking room! I spoke with hotel desk and was told they couldn’t guarantee a non-smoking room and they were all booked up and couldn’t move us to a non-smoking room. I sneezed each time I entered the room and was uncomfortable smelling nicotine. When I checked out, I complained about the room and manager said since we booked online instead of calling hotel directly they didn’t have my booking info in their computer?! I told him I had used Booking.com before and and never had problems with my reservations.But, they did have my reservation?! Manager went on to ask if I had contacted desk on the subsequent days I was there regarding room and I told him we were told at checkin that they were booked up, my traveling companion and I decided to just make the best of the situation. Manager went on to question me as to who I talked with about the room and kept asking if we had asked about another room on subsequent days. He wanted to argue with me and place the blame on me for my inconvenience!!! I will never stay at a La Quinta hotel again . And, I am not sure I will use Booking. com in the future if the booking agent and the hotel can’t have better communication and coordination so as to accommodate the customer.
