Cherokee National Museum, part of the Cherokee Heritage Center at 21192 S. Keeler Dr., uses multimedia exhibits, displays, artifacts and artwork to depict the history of the Cherokees from the white man's arrival in North America to the present. A highlight is the Trail of Tears exhibit. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
(includes Adams Corner Rural Village and Diligwa Village) $8.50; $7.50 (ages 55+ and college students with ID); $5 (ages 5-18).
Hours: Mon.-Sat. 9-5, mid-June to mid-Sept.; Tues.-Sat. 9-5, rest of year. Closed first 2 weeks in Jan., Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
