Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge

Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge is 3 mi. s. on Refuge Rd.; its headquarters is e. off SR 78. The refuge covers 16,464 acres on the Upper Washita arm of Lake Texoma. It lies in the central flyway and functions primarily as a migratory waterfowl refuge.

Eagles, hawks, ducks, geese and pelicans are among the migratory birds found in the refuge; deer, bobcats and beavers also are residents. Limited fishing and hunting are permitted in designated sections.

Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
