Tulsa Historical Society & History Museum, 2445 S. Peoria Ave. near Woodward Park, is in the renovated 1919 mansion built for Tulsa oil producer Samuel Travis. The Revival-style house has eight galleries dedicated to changing exhibits about the area's history.
The Vintage Gardens, on the grounds, have paved walkways; outdoor statues, including the Five Moons, life-size depictions of Native American ballerinas from Oklahoma; and cornerstones and other architectural elements from former Tulsa buildings.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
