Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge

Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge, off I-40 exit 297, then 3 mi. s. following signs to 107993 S. 4520 Rd., was established in 1970 to provide a habitat for waterfowl and other migratory birds. The 20,800-acre refuge is home to mallards, snow geese, hawks, nesting bald eagles, white-tailed deer and neotropical songbirds. A 6-mile automobile tour winds throughout the refuge and offers access to hiking trails, photography decks and wildlife viewing areas.
