1000 Islands History Museum is at 125 Water St., on the shore of the St. Lawrence River. The two-story Victorian building is the centerpiece of the Historic 1000 Islands Village and features permanent exhibits which interpret the distinctive history, life and times of the region. Displays include geological and natural history, missionaries and fur traders, the War of 1812, First Nations People and the “Golden Era” of elaborate cottages and summer homes.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
