Timber Village Museum, e. on Hwy. 17 at 180 Leacock St. beside the Northern Ontario Logging Memorial, consists of replicas of buildings, pioneer household items and memorabilia depicting the trade history that shaped the economy of the north shore of Lake Huron. Exhibits feature exploration and fur trade, mining, logging and commercial fishing. A gallery also displays local artworks.
$4; $3 (students with ID and 65+); $1 (ages 5-12); $10 (family).
Hours: Daily 10-4:30, June-Aug.; Mon.-Fri. 10-4:30, Jan.-May and Sept. 1 to mid-Dec. Closed Jan. 1.
