AAA Editor Notes
Timber Village Museum, e. on Hwy. 17 at 180 Leacock St. beside the Northern Ontario Logging Memorial, consists of replicas of buildings, pioneer household items and memorabilia depicting the trade history that shaped the economy of the north shore of Lake Huron. Exhibits feature exploration and fur trade, mining, logging and commercial fishing. A gallery also displays local artworks.

Daily 10-4:30, late May to mid-Aug., by appointment or special events; phone ahead. Closed Jan. 1.
