AAA Editor Notes
Proctor House Museum is at 96 Young St., on the w. side of Hwy. 30 in the Proctor Park Conservation Area just n. of town. A restored merchant's mansion dating to the late 1860s, the Italianate-style house commands a spectacular view of Lake Ontario and the countryside. The gallery and lower level feature changing exhibits. Guided 45-minute tours of the house describe its history.

Also on the property are hiking trails, a carriage shed with antique vehicles, an agricultural museum and a community theater.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
