AAA Editor Notes
Ruthven Park, 243 CR 54, is a 19th-century Greek Revival mansion overlooking the Grand River. An ongoing preservation project, including active conservation and archeological research, allows visitors to see how life changed for the five generations of the Thompson family who lived here 1845-1993. Nature trails and forests offer opportunities for hiking and bird-watching on the estate's 607 hectares (1,500 acres).

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.

Grounds by donation. Mansion $8.75; $7.08 (ages 65+); $3.54 (students with ID); $2.65 (ages 6-12); $17.70 (family).
Hours
Grounds open daily 9-5. Mansion tours are given Wed.-Sun. and holiday Mon. on the hour 10-4, Victoria Day weekend-second Mon. in Oct.; by appointment, rest of year. Tours also are offered during special events; phone for details. Phone ahead to confirm schedule and admission prices. Allow 1 hour minimum.
