Bonnechere Caves, 8 km (5 mi.) s.e. via Fourth Chute Rd., following signs, are twisting passages formed by water erosion in limestone believed to have been the bottom of a sea some 500 million years ago. Fossils of coral and aquatic creatures are imbedded in the cave walls. The caves are explored on 1-hour guided tours.
Wear flat shoes and a light sweater.
