Elliot Lake Nuclear and Mining Museum

Elliot Lake Nuclear and Mining Museum, in the Lester B. Pearson Civic Centre on Hwy. 108, traces area history from the lumbering and trapping days through the discovery of uranium, going full circle through the mining, milling and uses of uranium to the closure of the industry. It houses the Northern Home of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.

The Mine Rescue exhibit, 35 miners' lamps dating from the 1890s, a minerals collection, geologists' tools and interactive exhibits are featured.
