Wellington County Museum and Archives, 0536 Wellington Rd. 18, consists of heritage gardens and two floors of displays chronicling area history. Exhibits include period room settings, a World War I military exhibit and displays of agricultural tools, textiles, fashions, ceramics and glass as well as photographs and paintings. Exhibitions of contemporary art also are presented. Archives hold records documenting the history of Wellington County.
Museum open Mon.-Fri. 9:30-4:30, Sat.-Sun. and holidays 1-5; closed Jan. 1, Good Friday, Nov. 11, Christmas and day after Christmas. Archives open Mon.-Fri. 9:30-noon and 1-4:30, Sat.-Sun. 1-5; closed all holidays. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
