McCrae House, 108 Water St., is the 1872 birthplace of Lt. Col. John McCrae, author of the poem &#8220;In Flanders Fields,&#8221; written in 1915 at the Second Battle of Ypres. Exhibits depict family history and McCrae's medical and military careers. A space for interactive and changing exhibits has video presentations about McCrae and World War I. The gardens have been restored to the 1850-80 time period.</br>
$5; $15 (family, two adults and up to four children). Combination pass with Guelph Civic Museum $6; $4 (ages 2-18 and 65+); $12 (family); prices subject to change.
Hours: Tues.-Sun. 10-5. Closed Jan. 1-2, Good Friday, Easter, Christmas-Dec. 31 and holiday Mondays.
