Pleasant

The staff was pleasant and the hotel was clean. It was an affordable option while staying in Guelph. Having dietary restrictions it was important to me to book a room with a kitchenette, however, access to a grocery store was not convenient and the food provided at the hotel was not satisfactory or nutritious. I was looking forward to enjoying breakfast, but when I asked the kitchen staff about ingredients they did not know. I was also looking forward to swimming in the pool, but a quick 30 minute swim in their pool ruined my bathing suit. I am not apt to leaving poor reviews and it was my choice to swim in the pool and I know that my issues with their food aren't issues for everyone. If you need an affordable place to stay in Guelph, this hotel will suit the bill, but use caution when choosing to use the pool and make sure you can get to a grocery store before checking in.
Pros: The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. Having a kitchenette in the room was ideal, however without access to food, it was not utilized.
Cons: The food choices were extremely limiting. The retail snack bar contains candy, chips and microwave dinners. The continental hot breakfast does have a few options, but when asking the kitchen about ingredients they did not know. I found that unacceptable.

We really enjoyed our stay...
Pros: The room was very nicely appointed and all of the amenities were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. Breakfast was wonderful. It was very well prepared with a wide selection of food.
Cons: We had a little problem finding the hotel as we passed the road initially. The hotel sign was hard to see from the main road.
