Pros: We had a situation where my mother, 81 yrs. old needed to be taken to the Hosp. there, they were very receptive to our problems. Being an American citizen and no Canadian currency and unable to make a phone call was very confusing.
Cons: We had incorrect information on the street and vicinity of the hotel. We had to look for several hours to find it.
Family with Young Children
Pros: It was very comfortable and quiet. The free breakfast was delicious! My kids got to go swimming in the indoor pool and they had lots of fun. My oldest son suffers from ocd and anxiety and even he felt comfortable there with the staff and other guest.
Traveling as Couple
Ask for room not on ground level as they feel like a basement bedroom. Breakfast has limited selection compared to American counterpart and they even cheap out serving ham versus bacon. Tiny front lobby is unappealing. Location good distance from highway and in a semi residential area. Bathroom one of the cleanest I have ever encountered. Fridge in #103 made contracting/expanding noises all night. Wifi easy to access versus some hotel log ins
Pros: Guests in hotel were family orientated and quiet.
Cons: I actively look for this chain whilst travelling in the States. Canadian version is sub par. Breakfast, room decor, brightness, bedding, refrigerator and construction materials/fittings all lacklustre. Disappointed for sure.
