MS Chi-Cheemaun, docked at Hwy. 6 in South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island and in Tobermory at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula, is a large ferry whose prow swings open to accommodate 143 vehicles. The Chi-Cheemaun, meaning “the big canoe,” connects the mainland with Manitoulin Island via 1.75-hour trips across Georgian Bay. The ship has a capacity of 638 passengers.

Admission
One-way passenger fare $16.50; $14.25 (ages 65+); $8.25 (ages 5-11); $54.75 (family, two adults and dependent children). Same-day round trip $28; $23.25 (ages 65+); $14 (ages 5-11); $94.25 (family, two adults and dependent children). Extra charge for vehicles. Reservations are available on some trips.
