MS Chi-Cheemaun

MS Chi-Cheemaun, docked at Hwy. 6 in South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island and in Tobermory at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula, is a large ferry whose prow swings open to accommodate 143 vehicles. The Chi-Cheemaun, meaning “the big canoe,” connects the mainland with Manitoulin Island via 1.75-hour trips across Georgian Bay. The ship has a capacity of 638 passengers.
