Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre is on Hwy. 12 opposite Martyrs' Shrine. A hands-on nature discovery center, this 61-hectare (150-acre) wetland and woodland site adjoins a wilderness area that offers wildlife viewing and is home to the Trumpeter Swan Reintroduction Program; more than 100 of the birds live nearby.
Wildlife presentations; canoe and kayak trips; wildflower gardens; floating boardwalks; an observation tower; and walking and ski trails provide ways to enjoy nature. Bike, ski and snowshoe rentals are available.
