Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary, 15 km (9 mi.) e. on CR 2, then 2.5 km (1.6 mi.) s., following signs, is a refuge for Canada geese and other migrating birds and wildlife. The best time to view Canada geese is mid-September through October. An interpretive center has displays and nature programs are offered. A viewing tower and 8 kilometres (5 mi.) of nature trails are available. Camping is permitted.

Hours: Interpretive center Mon.-Thurs. 9-4:30, Fri.-Sun. 9-9, Victoria Day weekend-Labour Day; daily 8:30-4:15, day after Labour Day-last Sun. in Oct. Nature trails open year-round (weather permitting). A goose feeding program takes place daily at 2:30, mid-Sept. through last Sun. in Oct. Campsites are available mid-May to late Oct. Guided walks are offered Thurs. at 6:30, mid-July to early Sept.
