Pros: Bed was very comfortable
Cons: Bathroom was showing wear and tear. Needs to have the paint scraped and updated. Coffee pot in the room would have been nice.

Pros: Lovely room, bedding was fabulous, staff attentive, food outstanding and the location worked perfectly. Quant and full of character.
Cons: Common areas are in need of attention like: painting, primping and some updating/renovations. The Bar is cluttered, needs items put away and behind from customer view and needs a deep cleaning. Older properties like The Charles Inn with such amazing charm needs a lot of attention. Daily maintenance is required when properly managed. Maintaining standards for this caliber of a hotel within the hotel group should not be discarded so it doesn't become a large issue structurally.

Pros: The location is terrific and far enough from the hustle bustle to be quiet but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants in just a few minutes. The upstairs veranda was our favorite place to sit and relax with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
Cons: The air conditioning unit in one of our rooms could not be adjusted but the weather was perfect so it didn't present a problem.
