The Orillia Museum of Art & History, downtown at 30 Peter St. S., is in the Sir Sam Steele Memorial Building, a late 1800s structure formerly used as a post office and a police station. The museum displays historical artifacts relating to Orillia and contemporary photographs as well as art exhibits, including paintings by the Group of Seven. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.

Hours: Museum open Mon.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. 1-4. Closed holidays and during Christmas school break. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
