AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Pet friendly): On the way to and from cottage country, it has been a long-standing tradition to stop here, stretch one’s legs, walk the dog and enjoy a bite to eat.
Since 1963 the grilled burgers have been a staple for cottage-goers heading to and from the Muskokas. In 1983 the restaurant bought a portion of the pedestrian bridge from the CN Tower and erected it over Hwy 11, making it the first privately owned bridge over a highway in Ontario and allowing the extensive traffic in both directions to stop and enjoy the extremely popular burgers. Long lineups are not uncommon, but the system of taking orders and payments while guests wait in line works well. The menu is simple with burgers, hot dogs and delicious fries. An ice cream stand also is on-site. The restaurant offers extensive grounds to stretch your legs, walk the dog and sit and enjoy a burger at a picnic table. Old CN Rail cars house the patty-making operation.
