Robert McLaughlin Gallery, at 72 Queen St., is in the Civic Centre at the foot of Bagot St., via Hwy. 401 exit 417 and Simcoe St. In addition to a permanent collection of works from the Victorian era to the present—including works by the Group of Seven and Painters Eleven (Ontario's first abstractionists)—the gallery presents changing exhibits of the works of contemporary Canadian artists. There also is an art reference library.
