AAA Editor Notes
Garden of the Provinces and Territories, Wellington and Bay sts., is a 4-acre park with lawns, flower beds and an area containing flagpoles that fly flags of the provincial coats-of-arms. Provincial flowers are depicted on enameled bronze plaques set in stone balustrades along upper and lower terraces. In a recent landscape renewal, more than 10,000 plants were added, representing species found across Canada, which are set to fully mature in time for Canada's 150th anniversary in 2017. Flags are flown from May through October. A tree-fountain is striking under night illumination.
