Rockcliffe Park, 4 km (2.5 mi.) n.e. of Parliament Hill via Sussex Dr., is a 137-hectare (338-acre) recreation and picnic area overlooking the Ottawa River. Walking paths and scenic overlooks are offered. Nearby at Remic Rapids are the free-standing, balanced natural rock sculptures (inukshuks) created by artist John Felice Ceprano in 1986, covering more than 2 hectares (6 acres). Picnicking is permitted.
