Scugog Shores Historical Museum, Village & Archives is 1 km (.6 mi.) n. off Hwy. 7A at 16210 Island Rd. (CR 7). On Scugog Island, the village contains 11 19th-century buildings, many relocated from nearby areas. A print shop, Victorian house, log cabin, blacksmith shop, harness shop and a restored 1860 Methodist church are among the buildings featured. Extensive local archives also are available by appointment. Special events are offered throughout the year.
Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.
