Brock's Monument at Queenston Heights National Historic Site is in Queenston Heights Park. The 64-metre (210-ft.) monument at the top of the Niagara Escarpment is the tomb of Maj. Gen. Sir Isaac Brock, British commander during the Battle of Queenston Heights in the War of 1812; he was killed in the battle. Visitors can climb 235 steps to the top of the monument for scenic views of the countryside. Staff in period garb lead guided battlefield walking tours; phone for schedule.
