Agawa Canyon Tour Train departs the Algoma Central Railway Inc. depot downtown at 129 Bay St. A 1-day excursion into the heart of the Canadian Shield wilderness, the 365-kilometre (228-mi.) round-trip includes a 1.5-hour stop at scenic Agawa Canyon Park and offers views of unspoiled forests, hills, lakes and streams in the rugged Algoma region. Two- and three-night packages also are available. The Snow Train, a 1-day winter tour through the Canadian winter countryside to Agawa Canyon, is not currently running but may resume at some time in the future; phone for information. Food is available.
