Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, 2.5 km. (1.6 mi.) e. of the International Bridge at 50 Pim St., commemorates Canada's history of bush flying and forest fire fighting. Interpretive exhibits include a fire tower, an operational engine test cell, a radio lab, fire station, bushplanes, float planes and water bombers and forest fire fighting artifacts. A film about the history of bushplane flying describes the plane's development and usage in fire fighting. The Children's Flight Centre offers hands-on flight exhibits.
