Sault Ste. Marie Museum, downtown at 690 Queen St. E. in the historic Post Office, has three floors of exhibits depicting the heritage of Sault Ste. Marie. Included are marine and shipping artifacts, the Sports History Hall of Fame, a blacksmith shop and relics from prehistoric times to the recent past. The museum also features locally curated exhibits and special events. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$6; $4 (ages 6-18 and 55+). Rates may vary during special events.
Hours: Mon.-Sat. 9:30-5, June-Sept.; Tues.-Sat. 9:30-5, rest of year. Closed major holidays.
