Sharon Temple National Historic Site and Museum, 18974 Leslie St., features an unusual three-story re-creation of Solomon's temple built by a pioneer Quaker sect, the Children of Peace. Now a national historic site, its grounds encompass several historic buildings in a park-like setting. Guided 1-hour tours provide a history of the group's musical, artistic and political contributions to Canada. Special events are held throughout the season.
$5; free (ages 0-15 with adult).
Hours: Tours are given Thurs.-Sun. 10-4:30, June-Sept.; Thurs.-Sat. 10-4:30, May and Oct. Closed holidays except Victoria Day and July 1. Last tour leaves 1 hour before closing.
