Colborne Lodge, in High Park on Colborne Lodge Dr., was built in 1837. Once the home of park owner and architect John G. Howard and his wife Jemima, the lodge contains many of the couple's belongings, including furniture and original watercolors. Howard helped plan the city of Toronto. The Howards' tomb and a restored 19th-century garden are on the grounds.
