Scarborough Historical Museum, 1007 Brimley Rd., 1 blk. n. of Lawrence Ave. E., is part of Thomson Memorial Park. Comprised of four restored late 19th-century buildings, the museum brings the rural heritage of the Scarborough area of Toronto to life through displays, demonstrations and various year-round celebrations. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.

Hours: Tues.-Sun. noon-5 (also Wed. 5-8), July-Aug.; Tues.-Fri. 10-4 (also Wed. 4-8), Sat.-Sun. noon-5, Apr.-June; Tues.-Fri. 10-4 (also Wed. 4-8), Sat.-Sun. noon-4, rest of year. Closed statutory holidays, except Canada Day (July 1). Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
