Spadina Museum: Historic House and Gardens, next to Casa Loma at 285 Spadina Rd., was built in 1866 and is furnished with original pieces and artifacts illustrating life in Toronto during the 1920s and 1930s. A 15-minute video presentation precedes a guided tour of the house that was home to three generations of the prosperous Austin family. The tour provides insights into area history, the home's furnishings and those who lived there.

Self-guiding tours of the 6-acre grounds include rose gardens, the English Flower Garden, Beehive Gateway and a grape arbor. Cooking demonstrations are featured in the 1930s kitchen. Special events are offered throughout the year. Guided garden tours are available in summer; phone for schedule.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
