Textile Museum of Canada is at 55 Centre Ave., 1 blk. e. of University Ave. and 1 blk. s. of Dundas St. at the St. Patrick subway station. Internationally recognized for its collection of historic and ethnographic textiles and related artifacts, the museum is devoted exclusively to the collection, exhibition and documentation of traditional and contemporary textiles from around the world. The collection consists of more than 12,000 pieces. One-hour guided tours and a research library are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$15; $10 (ages 65+); $6 (ages 5-14 and students with ID); $30 (family, two adults and three children). By donation Wed. 5-8.
Hours: Daily 11-5 (also Wed. 5-8). Reference library Tues. and Thurs. 1-4:30, Wed. 5-7. Closed major holidays and at 2 p.m. Christmas Eve and 31. Guided tours are given Sun. at 2.
