The Tall Ship Kajama, departing from Queens Quay W. at Lower Simcoe St., just w. of the Queens Quay Terminal building at the harborfront, is a 53-metre (175-ft.), three-masted schooner, originally launched in 1930 and used as a commercial sailing ship in Europe. Sailing trips along the harborfront and on Lake Ontario are offered; a cannon is fired on every sail.
Fare $23.95; $21.95 (ages 65+); $12.95 (ages 5-15); $2.95 (ages 0-4). Reservations are recommended.
Hours: Two-hour cruise departs daily at noon, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10, July 1-Labour Day; Mon.-Fri. at 1:30, 3:30, 6 and 8, Sat.-Sun. at noon, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10, in June; Sat.-Sun. at noon, 2, 4, 6 and 8, in May (weather permitting); Thurs.-Fri. at 2, 4, 6 and 8, Sat.-Sun. at noon, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10, day after Labour Day-first weekend in Oct.
