We had a spectacular stay at the Intercontinental. The hotel was better than expected in every way.
Pros: Everything was superb, but the thing that really stood out was the service. From check-in, to the concierge, to the maintenance department--everyone was polite, professional and at the top of their game.
Cons: Nothing--everything was wonderful.

Terrific location and enough space for my family of 4. Wonderful staff who were helpful upon check-in.
Pros: Pool area, proximity to attractions throughout Toronto and professional staff.
Cons: Be careful and park privately in lot adjacent to hotel. The Hotel valet is $45 a night, but if you park on your own it's $30.

Staff was great but sitting...
Pros: The rooms were very nice and the staff most helpful. We recieve a upgrade but once there the overwhelming smell of smoke was in the hallway and room. The head of housekeeping was already in the room beside us and was trying to air out that room also. She called the front desk and an another room was made available to us. Great job!
Cons: The "couch" looked very nice but was the most uncomfortable piece of furniture to sit on. It was almost a settee with no armrests or with only half the back rest. Most uncomfortable as you had to sit forward.
