Nancy Island Historic Site is on Nancy Island at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, accessible by footbridge from the Mosley St. entrance. The HMS Nancy was sunk by an American flotilla at this site during the War of 1812. The charred hull has been recovered and now rests in an enclosure beside the museum. At the far side of the island is a replica of a late 19th-century Great Lakes lighthouse.

A video presentation in the theater recounts the final naval encounters between Canada and the United States. With architecture inspired by the billowing sails of a Great Lakes schooner, the theater and museum complex offer information about the war, its participants and the history of the Wasaga Beach area. Battle re-enactments take place over one weekend in August; phone ahead.
