Windsor's Community Museum, 254 Pitt St. W., is said to be one of the oldest surviving brick buildings along the Detroit River. It was headquarters for Gen. William Hull and Gen. Brock during the War of 1812. The 1812 structure contains exhibits about the history of Windsor and surrounding area. Of special interest is a hands-on history room for children.
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. 2-5, May-Sept.; Tues.-Sat. 10-5, rest of year. Closed major holidays.
