Kortright Centre for Conservation, 2 km (1.2 mi.) w. of Hwy. 400 on Major Mackenzie Dr., then 1 km (.6 mi.) s. to 9550 Pine Valley Dr., is a 325-hectare (800-acre) complex in the scenic Humber River Valley. An interpretive center has exhibits about native fauna and flora and one of Canada's largest displays of renewable energy technologies. Seasonal conservation demonstrations are conducted at a bee house, maple syrup shack and wildlife pond. Nature and cross-country ski trails and a theater are available.

Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
