Bullards Beach State Park is 2 mi. n. on US 101. The Coquille River Lighthouse is on the north jetty. It is reached by road through the day-use area and features an exhibit and tours. Park activities include camping, hiking, kite flying, beachcombing and bicycling. A horse camp, yurts (domed tents) and wildlife viewing areas are available; interpretive programs are presented in summer. Swimming is not recommended. Migrating gray whales can be seen from nearby Face Rock Wayside. Pets on leash are allowed. Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.

Hours: Day-use area open daily dawn-dusk. Lighthouse open daily 11-5, mid-May to Sept. 30. Whale sightings are common early mornings, Mar.-May and in Dec.
