Kerbyville Museum is 2 mi. n. on US 199 at 24195 Redwood Hwy. The museum houses 50,000 items relating to Native Americans as well as loggers, miners and wildlife. The two-story 1880s Naucke House features period furniture and clothing exhibits. Displays include a collection of farm and mining machinery, some of which is handmade. A Takelma Indian pithouse also is on the premises. Guided tours are available by request. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
$6; $4 (ages 55+ and veterans with ID); $10 (family, two adults and all children).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 11-3, Sun. noon-3, Apr. 1 through mid-Oct. Closed Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
