AAA Editor Notes
Mt. Hood Cultural Center & Museum is at 88900 Government Camp Loop. Permanent exhibits document the human and natural history of Mt. Hood. Themes include winter sports, mountain climbing, national forest history, the Civilian Conservation Corps., settlement around Oregon's largest volcano and the area's historic Steiner cabins built in the 1920s-30s. The museum also displays historical photographs and hosts changing exhibitions of local and regional artists.

A visitor center on the premises offers brochures, maps and other materials for area visitors.
